Dear colleagues, 👩👩👩
Happy Saturday to you all, and welcome once more as I blog on the past week of LIT 102. Persuasive writing ( cont'd). In my observations, I noticed how Mrs. Lazarus questioned us to obtain our prerequisites before placing us in groups based on our topics. As she rightfully said, she had other topics planned for this session but saw the need to focus on Persuasive Writing. Have any of you ever had to make a judgment call like this before? I have, and I did not because as a young teacher, I was always afraid of what Ministry officials were going to say. Thankfully, I know better now and can make the right decisions as it relates to my students.
we got the opportunity to work with our pairs in small groups based on our topic. Luckily my group was just the two of us, unlike others that had six and seven members. I embraced the opportunity and was able to get adequate assistance from my colleague who seems to be very knowledgeable in that area. Having been engaged in this activity, I am not only going back to the drawing board to fix my sentence outline but also putting plans in place for my classroom. This session also reassured me that students can learn from their peers as well while the teacher's role is walking around the classroom, monitoring and ensuring they are on task, and, even offering other assistance when needed.
That is this week to me in a nutshell. Until next time, do have a great week ahead.👋
Hi Narlz, I agree with you on the session activity this week. I was happy to work with my peers who chose the same topic as mine. We were able to give constructive feedback and suggestions. I used the feedback and suggestions to revise my draft. This was a really good idea because we got a chance for someone to critique our piece before giving up our final piece.
